FEI/Philips CM-12T TEM
The CM12 is a 120kV TEM equipped with a STEM system though it is usually run in conventional TEM mode. The "Twin" lens configuration allows large angle sample tilts for conventional diffraction imaging. It serves as an excellent introductory microscope useful for teaching and routine analyses. Single tilt, double-tilt and a double-tilt cryo-stage are available. It is currently equipped with a W cathode, though a LaB6 can be fitted. TEM resolution with the "Twin" lens is 3.7A. While the instrument has STEM capability, STEM image recording is on Polaroid film.
