Fraser to Receive Microanalysis Society’s Presidential Science Award

Professor Hamish Fraser has been invited to the 2014 Microscopy and Microanalysis meeting in Hartford, CT on August 4, 2014 to receive the Microanalysis Society’s Presidential Science Award. The Science Award is presented annually to an outstanding scientist for distinguished contributions to the field of microanalysis throughout one’s career.

Dr. Fraser was selected because of his years of dedicated work in microanalysis of a wide range of materials, both in technique development as well as application. In addition, he has served as a mentor to many in the materials and microanalysis communities. Dr. Fraser was also recognized as an Honorary Professor by the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University on his recent travel to South Africa earlier this month.
